ALOHA
EVERYBODY

= "The trait of freely giving or sharing your money or
time."
I
can remember writing a letter to a company asking for a moneychanger
and getting it. You know the kind New York street vendors and taxi
cab drivers used to give change. It had been when I was in my young
entrepreneur stage.
I
wanted to start my own soft drink delivery business. Unfortunately
the availability of soda machines throughout Koko Marina Shopping
Center quickly wiped out that idea. Hey, I was only nine years old
at the time but I learned fast that if you ask for something, and
you are truly sincere about your intentions, chances are better than
good that it will come to you.
At
separate times in my life I was given, (yes I said given) a 1972 El
Camino, 1951 Desoto, 1946 Ford and a 1930 Model A coupe all for
free.
To
those who gave me, I did nothing for them. However, out of my own
generosity while not expecting anything back, I gave my time to help
folks within my own circle of friends and whoever else that happened
to need something that I was able to provide for.
So
its true. If you give, you will receive. There is however, one
important catch to remember. The only way you will receive when
giving, is to give from the heart and truly not expect anything in
return. Somehow, the subliminal-self knows and only then will events
begin to culminate into an exquisite shower of unexpected bounty.
I
dont mean to preach, but I do know from those past experiences
that there is a whole lot of truth here, which now brings me to the
present.
Im
not sure what I have done recently to deserve the things that have
been given to me through Honolulu Streets Magazine but I want to thank all
of you. You know who you are, the special supporters of Honolulu
Streets, from Palos Verdes, California to Refugio, Texas. To all who
seem to have Hawaii as well as myself in their hearts.
Because
of your support and generosity, I will try hard to deliver and not
let you down.
Now,
if I can only find a house, one that I could afford someplace on the
windward side of Oahu. Maybe if I write a letter to a Honolulu
real-estate company Ill get lucky.
Aloha
a Hui Hou,
